Rapper 2 Chainz has been charged with felony possession of a controlled substance following an incident in 2013 at Los Angeles International Airport.

The rapper, real name Tauheed Epps, had codeine in his checked bag. The drug is one of the ingredients for the popular drink nicknamed “sizzurp” in the hip hop community.

According to Los Angeles Times, Epps was removed from a flight after Transportation Security Administration officials searched his checked bag and found the illegal substance.

The TSA agents notified airport police that they found codeine, as well as marijuana in the “I’m Different” rapper’s baggage.

MTV News notes Epps was also arrested in 2012 for having brass knuckles with him.

Epps, 36, has previous told RapFix Live about criminal activity, "I don't do anything illegal. You're not gonna find a kilo on my bus. You're not gonna find an unregistered reason. I went to work all last year. I paid taxes. I did everything I was supposed to do.

So maybe people need to start aiming at some criminals. For me, I'm cold turkey on all criminal activities. I don't wanna do anything criminal. It's just about wasting your time, my time and taxpayers' money."
