Two of Aaron Hernandez’s alleged accomplices in the shooting death of Odin Lloyd will face murder charges.
According to the Associated Press, District Attorney C. Samuel Sutter said that a grand jury in Bristol County returned separate indictments against Carlos Ortiz and Ernest Wallace.
Both men were previously charged with accessory to murder and plead not guilty.
Prosecutors believe that Hernandez "orchestrated the murder" of the 27-year-old Lloyd, who was found shot in park near the former tight end’s home. Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancée at the time of his death.
Hernandez has plead not guilty to first-degree murder and weapons charges.
The New York Daily News noted that no arraignment dates have been set for Ortiz or Wallace. Both men remain in custody. Hernandez is also being held without bail while he awaits trial.
Just last month, it was reported that Hernandez allegedly beat up a fellow inmate. The former New England Patriot was charged with assault and battery for that incident.
