A number of Hollywood celebrities are making a move toward the small screen. Actor Bradley Whitford discusses the best thing about being on television and his new series, Trophy Wife.

Whitford, who played Josh Lyman, Deputy Chief of Staff on NBC’s critically acclaimed series, The West Wing, told the Associated Press,"I remember thinking, oh thank god there's this snobbery about TV. I was getting better writing by an exponential amount than Meryl Streep when I was on West Wing. I was so grateful.”

A-list actors like Matthew McConaughey, Julia Roberts, and Halle Berry have decided to take roles on the small screen. Whitford also added that Hollywood A-list actors do not only get great writing on television, but they get to more stories that they want to tell. Whitford has won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series. He also appeared in Billy Madison and Saving Mr. Banks.

This season, Whitford stars in the comedy Trophy Wife. His co-stars include Marcia Gay Harden, Michaela Watkins, and Malin Akerman. According to The Wrap, Trophy Wife is the story of a wife attempting to prove herself.

The show airs on Tuesdays on ABC at 9:30PM.
