Alan Thicke is commenting on the split between his son, Robin Thicke, and his wife Paula Patton earlier this year.
The 67-year-old former Growing Pains star, who is promoting his new reality show Unusually Thicke, wouldn’t directly talk about the split but said he’d rather let his son address it through his music.
"From my perspective, I always let Robin speak through his music. He's in the middle of a great album right now. A lot of power in the album,” Thicke told Us Weekly.
Thicke’s wife, Tonya Callau, added, "We love them, they're great people. Whatever they decide to do, it will be the right thing. Whatever they decide, we're all as a family very supportive of everyone's happiness."
Daily News reports the “Blurred Lines” singer, 37, and Patton, 38, announced their separation in February. The high school sweethearts have a 3-year-old son together, Julian, and they were married for nine years.
It’s been rumored that Thicke cheated on his wife and she was the one who ended their marriage.
