Alexander Wang will be designing a collection for the affordable fashion brand H&M. The company made the big announcement at a party for the Coachella Music Festival in Palm Springs, Calif.
Starting Nov. 6, the Alexander Wang x H&M Collection will be available online and in 250 stores worldwide.
In the announcement H&M said the collection will feature apparel and accessories for both men and women.
Wang, the first American designer to collaborate with H&M, said in a statement, “I am honored to be a part of H&M’s designer collaborations. The work with their team is an exciting, fun process. They are very open to push boundaries and to set a platform for creativity. This will be a great way for a wider audience to experience elements of the Alexander Wang brand and lifestyle.”
The brand’s creative adviser, Margareta van den Bosch, also said in a statement of Wang that he’s “one of the most important voices in fashion today,” New York Mag reports.
Van Den Bosch also said of the 30-year-old designer that his “energy and passion” is “infectious."
