Anderson Cooper has made a name for himself although he comes from a prominent family, but he revealed on Howard Stern’s SiriusXM radio show that he won’t get a dime of inheritance when his mother passes away.

Cooper’s multi-millionaire mother, Gloria Vanderbilt, has already told her son that he does not have a trust fund set up.

"My mom's made it clear to me that, like, there's no trust fund. There's none of that,” he told Stern on Monday’s show, Today.com reports.

Cooper, who reportedly makes $11 million a year on his own, also said he doesn’t "believe in inheriting money.”

The Anderson Cooper 360 host even said it would be a “curse” to inherit her reported $200 million fortune.

"Who's, like, inherited a lot of money that has gone on to do things in our lives? From the time I was growing up, if I felt that there was some like pot of gold waiting for me, I don't know that I would have been so motivated,” he admitted.

He also said his mother, a fashion designer, “made more money on her own” than she inherited from her family.

“We believe in working,” he said.
