Disney Channel veteran Ashley Tisdale and former Cheers star George Wendt have signed on to star in an untitled TBS pilot from the creators of Will & Grace.
The pilot, from David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, is set in a barbershop in Massachusetts, where a group of kids with different backgrounds are stuck working together. They all have dreams to become big shots in Boston, but now just have to focus on cutting hair.
In addition to Wendt and Tisdale, Orange is the New Black’s Lauren Lapkus signed on.
Tisdale recently appeared on ABC’s Super Fun Night and she famously starred in The Suite Life with Zack & Cody. She’s still working for Disney, voicing a character on Phineas & Ferb.
As for Wendt, he remains best known for playing Norm on Cheers. TV Guide reported last week that he has signed on to make a guest appearance on TNT’s Franklin & Bash this season. He’ll play a food inspector in one episode.
