Bates Motel, the television series that brought a “prequel” look inside Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho, has been renewed for a third season.
The hit drama series has been renewed for a 10-episode season on A&E and production will begin this fall. Although the show has a creepy reputation, that’s probably why it’s so popular.
Bates Motel is A&E’s top drama and draws in an average of 2.6 million viewers for adults ages 18 to 49 and 4.6 million overall, reports The Seattle Pi
Executive produced by Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehirn, the show is centered on a teenage Norman Bates, played by Freddie Highmore, and his no to average life as trouble unfolds. Vera Farmiga plays his mother, Norma Bates—she was even an Emmy nominee last year for her outside performance, according to The LA Times
Bates Motel plays at 10 pm every Monday on the A&E network—catch Norma and Norman in their latest cryptic and perilous debacle.
