NBC's hit drama, The Blacklist, has a secret weapon when it comes to the show. The producers are keeping a very close eye on social media reactions from fans.
Executive producer John Fox recently spoke at the Television Academy's Evening that took place at New York's Florence Gould Hall, Variety detailed. Fox explained that “We pay very close attention to the feedback,” said Fox.
This event also featured stars of the show including, James Spader, Megan Boone, Diego Klattenhoff, Ryan Eggold, Harry Lennix, Parminder Nagra, Hisham Tawfiq and Amir Arison. The panel was moderated by Billy Carter of the New York Times.
Boone was very open about her addiction to social media. She explained that she engages every waking hour to interacting with the fans. "I like their reaction. I’m of service to these people. All of that is worthwhile because there are 17 million people a week enjoying an hour of their lives because I’m sacrificing all of mine," said Boone.
The Blacklist is still doing well in the ratings, taking the 10 p.m. spot on Tuesday with over 11.39 million viewers. The drama brought in 2.8 rating among adults ranging in age from 18 to 49. This was another increase from last week, Hit Fix reported.
