Country star and “Voice” coach, Blake Shelton took it upon himself to heat up the rivalry between him and his fellow coach, Maroon 5’s lead singer, Adam Levine, by tweeting out his number for Levine’s personal line on April 28.

According to Daily Mail, Shelton ended up admitting “I feel bad,” when thousands of fans called up the number, jamming up Levine’s phone. Levine did not think that Shelton would actually do it until Shelton ended up doing it right in front of his fellow judges.

Today reports this conversation.

“Just know that you have it coming because that's not cool at all,” Adam said with a serious look on his face.

“I think it's pretty cool,” Blake responded. Shelton soon began to feel bad and ended up answering the phone while on the air.

“This is Blake. I'm answering Adam's phone 'cause I actually feel bad that I gave his number out. So, I'm answering the phone now.”

"It was his number," host Carson Daly confirmed to TODAY after the show. "I knew it was real because Adam told me it was real, but I didn't know if they were going to go through with it or how it would play out."
