Singer Al Green and actor Glenn Howerton are celebrating their birthdays today.

Al Green, 68

Legendary soul singer Al Green turns 68 today. Green gained recognition after his hit, "Tired of Being Blue," from his third studio album went Gold, selling over 500,000 copies. His next album, Let's Stay Together, which featured the track of the same name, was his first album to be certified Gold. "Let's Stay Together" reached No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and R&B charts. Green released many popular singles including "Here I Come (Come and Take Me)," "Love and Happiness," and "How Can You Men A Broken Hart," his cover of the Bee Gee's classic hit.

Green transitioned to Gospel music in 1980. He has won 8 total Grammy's in the Best Soul Gospel Performance category. In 2002, Green earned the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He has three daughters with his former wife Shirley Kyles.

Glenn Howerton, 38

Film and television actor Glenn Howerton turns 38 today. Born in Japan, Howerton was raised in London, South Korea, and Montgomery, Alabama. He studied at New World School of the Arts in Miami, FL, and attended the Julliard School's Drama Division, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. Howerton starred in ER, and had minor film roles in Serenity, Must Love Dogs, Two Weeks, The Strangers, Crank, and Everything Must Go.

In 2005, Howerton started playing Dennis Reynolds in the FX hit comedy, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, in which he also co-produces. The series has recently been renewed for two more seasons; 11 and 12. Howerton also has recurring roles on FOX's The Mindy Project, and the new FX series Fargo, premiering April 15.

Howerton is married to Jill Latiano, and have a son named Miles.
