Singers Kelly Clarkson and Barbra Streisand are celebrating their birthdays today.

Kelly Clarkson, 32

Pop singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson turns 32 today. Clarkson won the first season of American Idol in 2002. Her debut single, "A Moment Like This," topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart and broke the record for the biggest jump to No. 1 in the chart's history. Her debut album, Thankful (2003), is certified double platinum. The single, "Miss Independent," earned her a Grammy nomination.

Clarkson's second album, Breakaway, has been certified six times platinum, and earned her two Grammy wins. She released three more studio albums; My December, All I Ever Wanted, and Stronger, the latter earning her another Grammy win.

Clarkson is currently married to Brandon Blackstock and is expecting her first child; a girl due this June.

Barbra Streisand, 72

Singer-songwriter, author, actress, producer and director Barbra Streisand turns 72 today. Streisand is known as one of the best selling female artists of all time. She began her singing career in the '60s, and later transitioned to acting. She starred in the film Funny Girl, and earned both an Academy Award and a Golden Globe for her role.

Streisand also appeared in the films The Owl and the Pussycat, The Way We Were, A Star is Born, and Little Fockers. In her career, Streisand released 33 studio albums. She won two Academy Awards, eight Grammy Awards, five Emmy Awards, a Tony awards, an American Film Institute award, a Kennedy Center Honors award, and a Peabody Award.
