UK Celebrity Chef Nigella Lawson was turned away from a flight going from Heathrow airport to Los Angeles.
Lawson, who admitted to taking cocaine twice while appearing in court against two personal assistants of her and her ex-husband Charles Saatchi, will have to submit to a drug test before being allowed to enter the United States.
The celebrity chef will have to meet with a consular officer for an interview, and take a standard exam, which includes a test for sexually transmitted diseases, and if it is believed that Lawson is still taking the drug, then she will have to take a drug test, according to the Mirror.
Lynne Platt, a spokeswoman for the U.S. Embassy in London said that, “We understand she has professional requirements for U.S. travel. These matters are generally handled routinely and expeditiously,” according to CNN.
Lawson and ex-husband Saatchi divorced last year, and previous husband John Diamond passed away from terminal cancer. Saatchi and Lawson share two children.
