Social media platforms are great for sharing news and information. People can come together to discuss breaking events, sports, shows, etc. And then there's the utterly pointless things sites like Twitter are used for, such as sharing selfies, random thoughts, fleeting emotions and more.

On Mondays, Twitter is often filled with posts about whatever big Monday night sport or show is in season--which is currently Dancing with the Stars and the NHL and NBA playoffs. Thus, on Monday, April 21, tweets on those subjects were abundant.
