Social media platforms are great for sharing news and information. People can come together to discuss breaking events, sports, shows, etc. And then there's the utterly pointless things sites like Twitter are used for, such as sharing selfies, random thoughts, fleeting emotions and more.
On Mondays, Twitter is often filled with posts about whatever big Monday night sport or show is in season--which is currently Dancing with the Stars and the NHL and NBA playoffs. Thus, on Monday, April 21, tweets on those subjects were abundant.
Celebrities wrote some fun tweets about those regular-ish topics, and there were some good posts of the self-promoting/ peer promoting kind, as there always is on Twitter, but there were also a number of great celeb tweets that, refreshingly, had nothing to do with anything.
So without further ado, here are the top celebrity tweets of April 21, including the promotional, the totally random and the current event-related kinds.
