Child actor Mickey Rooney has passed away at the age of 93.
TMZ has reported that Rooney had been in bad health for sometime. Rooney is one of the most well-known child stars and has played the character of Andy Hardy is more than 20 movies. Rooney starred alongside the late Elizabeth Taylor in the movie National Velvet, which was a popular film from the 1940's and helped make Taylor a huge star. In recent years, Rooney has appeared in The Muppets with Jason Segal and Amy Adams, and Night at the Museum with Ben Stiller.
Three years ago Rooney made headline when he claimed that he a victim of elder abuse. ABC News reveals how Rooney was being abused by his stepchildren and filed a restraining order against them. Rooney, was granted the restraining order after he accused his stepchildren of not feeding him and not giving him the medication he needed. During that time Rooney stated, "All I want to do is live a peaceful life, to regain my life and be happy".
