Actor Chris Evans has explained that his earlier comments about retiring were taken out of context that he isn't going to stop acting anytime soon.

According to the New York Daily News, while appearing on Good Morning America to promote his upcoming new movie Captain America:The Winter Soldier, Evans clarified what he meant by his comments about retiring from acting and focusing on becoming a director. Evans stated that he directed a project last year and had a good experience doing it and would like to do more in the future. Evans says, "By no means am I planning on retiring."

Evans' clarification comes after he did an interview with Variety saying that he would like to take a little break from acting and spend time doing more directing. Evans tells how, “If I’m acting at all, it’s going to be under Marvel contract, or I’m going to be directing.” Evans can next be seen on the big screen when Captain America: The Winter Soldier hits movie theaters April 4.
