Amy Purdy, a contestant on this season's Dancing with the Stars, was hospitalized.

Purdy took to Twitter to thank everyone for their support and well wishes.

According to Glamour, Purdy suffered from a sudden back injury after she competed on the show. Purdy's dance partner for this round was Derek Hough. At first, Hough remained on set, but then, decided to go the hospital to be with Purdy.

The evening celebrated Latin dancing. In terms of the competition for the evening, NeNe Leakes and Tony Dovolani were eliminated in the most recent round. Meryl Davis and Maksim Chmerkovskiy kept their lead, according to the LA Times.

Purdy, a competitive snowboarder, is not the only person to have been injured on Dancing with the Stars. Danica McKellar also broke a rib on the show.

Dancing with the Stars is hosted by Tom Bergeron. The television program airs on ABC.
