Actor David Arquette and his girlfriend, Christina McLarty, have welcomed a baby boy. This is the Scream actor’s second child and first with McLarty.
Arquette’s rep broke the news to People, confirming that both mother and baby are doing fine. “They appreciate all of your well wishes and thank you for respecting their privacy at this time,” the rep added.
The baby’s name is Charlie West, who was born at 12:35 p.m. Monday in Los Angeles. He weighed in at 8 lbs., 7 oz..
The couple have been dating since 2011, notes E! News. They did break-up in 2012, but got back together. In November 2013, the couple confirmed that they were expecting a child together.
Arquette is still friends with his ex-wife, Cougar Town star Courteney Cox. It was actually Cox who broke that news that McLarty was pregnant with a boy during a January appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Cox and Arquette share a daughter, Coco, 9.
“I’ve done it once so there’s not that fear that a first-time parent has because you just don’t know what to expect,” Arquette said in a January interview with People about expecting a second child. “You have to have a lot of faith that you will be able to keep them safe and not mess them up too much.”
Arquette is best known for his role in the Scream franchise and currently voices a character on Disney Junior’s Jake and the Neverland Pirates.
