David Fincher and Aaron Sorkin will not be teaming up again for the upcoming Steve Jobs biopic that Sorkin is currently writing. Fincher wanted full creative control over the marketing of the project, $10 million upfront and to have Christian Bale star as Jobs in the film.

Sorkin and Fincher have worked together before on the Oscar nominated The Social Network which was a biopic about the life and career of Mark Zuckerberg.

The demands seem to have been too much for Sony pictures, The Hollywood Reporter explained. Fincher was set to direct the biopic which is being based off of Walter Isaacson's 2011 biography but now it appears that he will not be moving forward with the project. This has not been official announced by either party.

This is not the first time that Fincher has made over the top requests, on The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo he was given full creative control on how the film would be marketed to the masses.

Deadline reported that it was unclear at this time if Bale was still being considered for the main role but sources from inside Bale's camp said that the actor has not discussed the role with anyone at this time.
