Boston Red Sox slugger David Ortiz tweeted his approval of Kenan Thompson's impression of him on the most recent Saturday Night Live.
Thompson appeared as Ortiz during Weekend Update to comment on the recent controversy over the athlete's selfie with President Obama. Earlier this month Ortiz was criticized by the White House when Samsung, which has an endorsement deal with the athlete, retweeted the photo. Ortiz denied that he had any commercial intent when he took the picture and that it came about naturally.
Big Papi, Big Selfie. RT @DavidOrtiz What an honor! Thanks for the #selfie, @BarackObama pic.twitter.com/3I7ckLjquf

In the SNL segment Thompson says that Samsung, pronounced as "Sam's Son," told him that everything was fine. He also jokes about the size of Samsung's phones and says the company paid him in livestock.
On Sunday afternoon Ortiz tweeted his endorsement of the "skit" and added that Rachel Dratch surely agrees. According to Boston.com Dratch, an SNL alum herself, appeared at the 2013 David Ortiz Celebrity Golf Classic in December.
Have to give a shout out to #KeenanThompson for that skit on @nbcsnl I know my girl @TheRealDratch would approve http://t.co/Ool8LdNJVN
