Just a day after meeting with the Washington Redskins, former Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson has agreed to a three-year deal with the Eagles’ in-division rivals.

Jackson was released by the Eagles last week, just after a report kinked him to gangs. The wide receiver denied those claims, calling the speculation “reckless and irresponsible.”

Nevertheless, several teams were interested in signing him, including the Redskins. He met with the team on Monday and had reportedly> agreed to a deal. Now, the details are coming out.

ESPN’s sources said that the deal is for three years and worth $24 million. That includes $16 million guaranteed.

Jackson confirmed the news himself on Twitter and Instagram, posting an image of ESPN’s SportsCenter.

The Jackson signing is a great deal for the Redskins, who desperately needed a dynamic receiver to pair with quarterback Robert Griffin III.

Over his career, Jackson has averaged 17.2 yards per catch. In 2013, Jackson had another great season, racking up 82 catches, 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns for the Eagles. Reports have suggested that the team let him go because of his attitude and that he didn’t fit head coach Chip Kelly's future plans.

The Redskins are coming off a poor 2013 season and will have a new head coach, first-timer Jay Gruden. The team is in the same NFC East division as the Eagles, so they'll see each other twice a year.
