Drew Barrymore and husband Will Kopelman have welcomed a new addition to their family.
According to PEOPLE, Barrymore gave birth to their second daughter, Frankie, on Tuesday.
“Happy to announce that today we are the proud parents of our second daughter, Frankie Barrymore Kopelman,” the couple, who wed in June 2012, said in a statement. “Olive has a new little sister, and everyone is healthy and happy!”
The 39-year-old actress announced her pregnancy in November, after her attempt to keep her first pregnancy with Olive, now 19 months, was unsuccessful.
“Last time I never commented on it and people just stalked me the entire time,” she said. “So yes, it’s happening, it’s true. I tried to keep it a secret for as long as possible.”
In September 2013, Barrymore explained to Instyle Magazine that she had always wanted a bigger family because she experienced the loneliness of being an only child, reports MTV News.
“I’m entering my 40s, and now I get to step back and take these incredible, extraordinary life experiences and life lesson and apply them to being a parent,” she said.
Catch Barrymore alongside Adam Sandler in the upcoming comedy, Blended, out in theaters on May 23.
