First Lady Michelle Obama will continue her part-time job of TV guest appearances with a gig on ABC’s hit musical drama Nashville. She will appear in a military-themed episode airing next month.
ABC made the announcement today. The episode will feature a charity concert at Fort Campbell after Rayana (Connie Britton) hears that her son, Luke, was injured while serving in Afghanistan. Its title is “All Or Nothing With Me” and was written by Dee Johnson. Michael Waxman directed.
Nashville, which is currently in its second season, stars Connie Britton, Hayden Panettiere, Eric Close, Clare Bowen and Charles Esten. Country star Kellie Pickler will also appear in the episode.
Obama will also be appearing in the season six finale of NBC’s sitcom Parks and Recreation with Amy Poehler.
The special Nashville episode airs on Wednesday, May 7 at 10 p.m. The Parks and Recreation finale airs on Thursday, April 24.
Obama has also made stops on late night talk shows and has partnered with Sesame Street in her fight against child obesity.
