Fans of The Simpsons have a lot to be happy about. On Wednesday, it was announced that The Simpsons will begin a marathon on Aug 21 on FXX. The marathon will end on Labor Day.
The marathon is happening at the same time as the purchase rights of the TV show, according to programming chief Chuck Saftler. Simpsons fans can also rejoice that there is also a new site and an app that will provide access to every episode of the long-running animated series, according to the Associated Press. Saftler said FXX will show episodes every Sunday this fall, until a new episode airs on Fox.
"Think of it as acomprehensive, beautifully curated digital library of all things Simpsons," FX Networks Chief Executive John Landgraf said at a presentation on Wednesday, according to the LA Times. "I’m absolutely blown away by what I’ve seen. This could well be the best app I have ever seen.”
The Simpsons honored David Letterman recently, after he announced his retirement.
