After about four years of hiatus, HomestarRunner.com one of the internet's earliest phenomenons has returned with a brief new cartoon in honor of April Fool's Day.

The site's creators, Mike and Matt Chapman, affectionately referred to as The Brothers Chaps have moved onto other projects since abandoning their popular website. But, as The Verge reports, they promised to keep updating the site sporadically.

As the AV Club notes, the new update to the site isn't extensive--it's essentially a long intro video to the site lampooning the fact that the Brothers Chaps have let it fall into neglect. Still, it's refreshing to see the show's two most popular characters, Homestar himself and Strong Bad, addressing long-time fans.

Trying to predict the next update to the site, however, is likely an exercise in futility, as the Chapmans are still working on other projects instead of focusing on the site once more.

"We should do this again soon," Strong Bad says in the video.

"Three years soon or five years soon?" Homestar responds.

Head on over to HomestarRunner.com to watch the video and revel in some nostalgia.
