The 2014 MTV awards featured a shirtless Zac Efron, a sentimental Jared Leto speech and a first time live performance from Rihanna and Eminem, but it looks like Ice Cube wasn’t impressed by the show.

The actor revealed to USA Today that he felt losing to Vin Diesel and Paul Walker for Best Onscreen Duo happened because of a “sympathy” vote.

"We was robbed," Ice Cube said. "Shame on you MTV."

The 44-year-old added: “We had the best chemistry of everybody nominated. For us, not to win was crazy. We were the best onscreen duo, period.”

Ice Cube wasn’t afraid to admit that he left the award show early to watch the Laker game at home.

“I just wasn't into it," he said. "I have been going in and out of these things for 25 years. If you ain't into it, why torture yourself? As soon as you get bored, get up and leave."

Ice Cube may not have won this year, but he will get a second chance in the future. Kevin Hart will join him again for a Ride Along sequel, according to The Gainesville Sun.

The movie, featuring the dynamic duo, is coming out on Blu-Ray/DVD on Tuesday, April 15.
