Florida State quarterback, Jameis Winston, has been suspended from the Seminoles baseball team, where he is pitcher, after he was cited for allegedly stealing $32.72 worth of groceries.

According to USA Today, authorities said in a press conference that the reigning Heisman trophy winner was cited for shoplifting the groceries from a local Publix store.

ESPN noted that Leon County Sheriff's Office Maj. Michael Wood said Winston ordered seafood at the store’s deli on Tuesday evening and then left without paying for the crab legs and fish.

In a statement, Winston said he takes responsibility for his actions.

“I make no excuses for my actions and will learn and grow from this unfortunate situation,” the 20-year-old said.

This is not the first time that the athlete has tried to get something for nothing. Police records show that he once walked into a Burger King, asked for a cup of water and continued to fill it with soda despite the employee’s objections. The restaurant did not press charges.

In December, Winston was investigated for a much more serious allegation when a fellow FSU student claimed he raped her. Charges were not brought against him due to a lack of evidence.
