Jamie Foxx hopes to reconnect with his biological parents after over forty years.
WENN reports that Jamie Foxx, real name Eric Bishop, is seeking to reconnect with his parents after leaving him at seven months.
Foxx was raised by his mother's foster parents, and has never heard from his biological parents for over forty years.
Foxx moved his mother, Louise, into his home in hopes of rebuilding their relationship.
"We're trying to learn (about) each other. The one thing I think is great is she's in the same house, because you realize certain things that you missed when you were growing up," Foxx said in an interview with Britain's The Sunday Times Magazine.
Foxx has tried to reconnect with his father, who has converted to Islam, but is finding it harder to do so.
"Fingers crossed, it will become a real thing. But the door is open," Foxx said. "That's one thing I've learnt: always keep the door and your heart open... I don't hold a lot of grudges... But it's tough, y'know."
According to NME, Foxx will next appear as the villain, Electro, in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 alongside Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone.
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters May 2.
