At Saturday night’s 25th annual GLAAD Media Awards, Lopez walked away with the Vanguard Award.

Lopez is an executive producer on the ABC Family series, The Fosters which focuses on a lesbian couple raising their children. The show also won an award for outstanding drama series, according to the Associated Press.

The singer wore a sequin dress and appeared at the event at the Beverly Hilton Hotel with former back-up dancer, Casper Smart, according to the Daily Mail.

Lopez has been extraordinarily busy lately. In addition to judging on American Idol and recently appeared in the film, Parker.

Other winners at the GLAAD awards included NBC's Days of Our Lives for daily drama. The winner of reality program went to Fuse's Big Freedia: Queen of Bounce for reality program. Tegan and Sara took the prize for music artist.

The GLAAD awards salute “fair, accurate and inclusive representation in media of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community and the issues that affect their lives.”

A New York ceremony will be held on May 3.
