Quarterback Johnny Manziel will work out privately with the Cleveland Browns this week as he hopes to be selected early in the first round of the NFL Draft.

The Browns have been linked with Manziel even though they did not attend his Pro Day at Texas A&M, according to ESPN. Manziel has also been picked fourth overall by the Browns in Mel Kiper's latest ESPN mock draft.

The Browns are in need of a quarterback with Brian Hoyer being the only one on their current roster. Hoyer is recovering from a knee injury that occurred in October. He had led the Browns to two consecutive wins over the Minnesota Vikings and Cincinnati Bengals before his injury.

Manziel is expected to become a starter right away though, and he scored a 32 on the Wonderlic exam. This is expected to raise his draft stock.

The Browns have also been linked to other quarterbacks, according to Fansided. Derek Carr, Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles are among these players.
