Former Good Morning America anchor Josh Elliott has reportedly taken a lower salary as he makes the switch from Good Morning America to NBC Sports.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals how Elliott will be making $4 million a year in his new position at NBC Sports. Elliot has also been given a production deal. ABC News was only willing to offer Elliott $5 million a year in salary. Elliott originally asked ABC News for more money if they wanted him to stay on, but they declined and he decided to leave for NBC Sports. Elliott's replacement on Good Morning America is Amy Robach, who joins fellow anchors, Robin Roberts, Lara Spencer and George Stephanopoulos. Also, due to a clause in his contract Elliott cannot appear on any NBC news programs for six months. For now Elliott will only be able to cover sport events.

Deadline tells how Elliott's former Good Morning America co-worker Sam Champion bid Elliott farewell. Champion, left Good Morning America last December and now works at The Weather Channel.
