Julianne Hough will return to the ballroom on Dancing with the Stars on Monday night, acting as a guest judge alongside Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman and Bruno Tonioli.
Hough, whose brother Derek Hough is still on the show, left the show to pursue a film career. She guest judged last season but unintentionally offended professional dancer, Mark Ballas.
"You go in trying to give constructive criticism, but when the nerves get to you, you sometimes put your foot in your mouth, which I have done in the past. So this is my do-over," she told People, alluding to last year’s incident.
Hough is referring to telling Ballas’ partner at the time, Christina Milian, to make sure to stand out because he sometimes overshadows. “There were moments where I felt like choreography-wise, I felt like it was two people dancing side-by-said rather than together,” she said at the time, adding, "I've danced with Mark. You have to stand in front to make sure you're seen,” Daily News reports.
Hough and Ballas remain friends, as they’ve known each other since they were kids. They also went out to dinner that same night, “That's what's hilarious about it,” she said.
She also said of the show that it’s her “home away from home.”
This week will see the contestants switching partners. It will kick off at 8pm on ABC.
