Justin Bieber has been in the spotlight for many reasons but his music career lately, one of which included a group forming a petition around getting Bieber deported from the United States. The petition which was started back in January will not be commented on by the White House.
The petition was started after Bieber's very public Miami arrest for DUI, resisting arrest, and driving with an expired license. At this current time, it has over 275,000 signatures. In order for the White House to even consider commenting, it is required that a petition have over 100,000 signatures.
US Weekly reported the news saying that the White House even posted an official statement regarding the petition, without commenting on the petition itself.
The official White House statement explained that they would not commenting on the issue at hand but they are thankful that people are passionate about immigration issues. "So we'll leave it to others to comment on Mr. Bieber’s case, but we’re glad you care about immigration issues. Because our current system is broken. Too many employers game the system by hiring undocumented workers, and 11 million people are living in the shadows," said the statement.
