House of Cards is popular in India. However, India doesn’t have Netflix. That’s a point Kevin Spacey made clear while he was at an event honoring Indian film in Tampa, Florida.

On Saturday, Tampa hosted the International Indian Film Academy Awards, which had never been held in the U.S. before. While on the red carpet, Spacey joked to reporters how the political drama has become so popular in a country that still doesn’t have Netflix.

House of Cards is really big in India, I discovered,” Spacey said, reports The AFP. “Except isn't it funny that Netflix doesn't exist there yet. Which means that you're stealing it.”

Spacey also noted that India has been doing a good job at exporting Bollywood films, so he wants to do a better job of bringing theater to the country. “More and more people in the United States are becoming aware of Bollywood films. I want to go to India to make your culture even more aware of theater because theater is not as big there as film is,” Spacey said during his speech.

House of Cards is the two-time Oscar winner’s top priority at the moment and filming on a third season will be starting soon. However, he’s throwing back to 2011, when he and his American Beauty director Sam Mendes did a world tour of Shakespeare’s Richard III. That tour is being chronicled in a new documentary called Now: In the Wings on a World Stage, which will be screened in theaters on Tuesday only. It will then be available to download for free.

“Well, I’m just sort of continuing my disruptive behavior,” Spacey told The Kansas City Star. “After my [2011] McTaggart lecture, in which I talked about new talent and new platforms … I felt like I had to walk the walk, and to some degree the industry undervalues a film like this.”

House of Cards premieres exclusively on Netflix before reaching home video and other digital platforms.
