Lamar Odom has reached a deal with the New York Knicks to join their roster for the remainder of the season, with an option for a non-guaranteed, multi-year deal.

The deal comes after Odom broke a deal with Spanish ACB League, Baskonia, due to an injury. He joined the team in February and left in March.

Howard Beck of Bleacher Report confirmed the deal on Twitter, writing, “Lamar Odom's contract w/Knicks is a 2-year deal, per source. Second year is nonguaranteed.”

Odom has been plagued with controversy in his offseason, rumored to have a severe drug addiction problem and pleading no contest to a DUI charge stemming from last summer.

Odom’s wife of four years, Khloe Kardashian, filed for divorce in December 2013.

Daily News notes Odom won two NBA championships with new Knicks president, Phil Jackson, when he played for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Odom, a Queens, New York native, is expected to practice with the team on Thursday in Greenburgh.
