Lily Allen opened up about her feelings for the first time concerning the stillborn birth of her baby boy and the depression that set in following the tragic event.
The 28-year-old singer was six months pregnant when she lost her baby boy, and in an exclusive interview with The Sun, as reported by E! News, she revealed that her loss was something she could never really move on from.
"It was horrendous and something I would not wish on my worst enemy," Allen said. "It's something that I still haven't dealt with. I never will get over it. I have dealt with it, you know, as being at one with it."
Allen, who was taken to the hospital days after the death of her son from a fatal blood poisoning infection, said her husband, Sam Cooper, was the person that kept her strong.
"I was overwhelmed by what an incredibly unlucky thing it was to happen," she confessed. "But I had this man standing by my side, who I knew was going to be with me for the rest of my life."
Allen suffered a miscarriage in 2008 with Chemical Brother’s Ed Simons, but is blessed with two daughters, Ethel and Marnie.
According to Daily Mail, the singer said she wants her children to have a “perfect childhood.” She accomplishes this by being there for her children and leaving them in good hands with their nanny and father while she’s working.
