Lindsay Lohan appeared on Late Night with David Letterman on Wednesday night, where the two actually called her mentor, Oprah Winfrey, while on air.
Lohan pulled out her iPhone and suggested they call the former queen of daytime, but Letterman convincingly enough protested it. The audience, of course, urged it by started an “O-prah, O-prah!” chant.
“Now I’ve tried to call Oprah on the phone before and I cannot get through to her,” said Letterman, but Lohan, who calls Winfrey her “guiding light,” assured “Okay, well, I think I might be able to,” Washington Post reports.
When they got Winfrey on the phone, the OWN boss gave kudos to Lohan about the progress she’s made in her recovery, which is documented on the docu-series Lindsay.
“I think to have cameras following you around for every phase of your life, and you’re trying to pull your life together, I think that’s a really difficult thing. So, yeah, we’re really pleased that she’s making some progress,” said Winfrey.
Daily News notes Lohan appeared on the show to promote both Lindsay and her upcoming appearance on CBS’ Two Broke Girls, which airs on Monday.
