The surviving members of comedy group Monty Python will be coming together for a one of a kind reunion in London on July 20. The tour was extended to include ten shows. For fans of the comedy group that cannot attend the live show, it has been announced that the tour will be shown in movie theaters all across the world.
Variety reported that the show is being billed as a farewell tour to the group. A statement was released on behalf of the members explaining that this would be a final show and that they wanted fans to experience it in every way possible.
“Join the crowd live from London’s O2 in a final weepy, hilarious, uproarious, outrageous, farewell to the five remaining Pythons as they head for The Old Jokes Home … on the big screen, in HD,” said the official statement.
The show will be directed by Aubrey Powell and produced by Fiz Oliver.
The Guardian added that the show will be shown in 450 movie theaters in the U.K. and another 1,500 around the world.
