The Naya Rivera situation at Fox’s Glee is getting a little clearer this morning. While she might not be appearing in the season five finale, after all, her team has said that she has not been fired.
Rivera, who recently called off her engagement to Big Sean, has reportedly been at odds with co-star Lea Michele, while other sources said her real beef was with the show’s producers. That lead to reports that she was fired and being “written off” the show’s season finale.
A source that works on the show told E! News that Rivera has not been fired and that her not being in the season finale “has nothing to do with Lea.” This source added, “I don't know where these stories are coming from, but they are not true.”
Meanwhile, a rep for Rivera told E! and Entertainment Weekly that rumors that she was fired are not true. “Any reports or rumors circulating that Naya Rivera was let go or fired from Glee are absolutely untrue. End of story,” the rep said.
While that may sound definitive, the Glee crew has not commented on the situation. Rivera also hasn’t said anything herself on Twitter.
Glee’s fifth season wraps on May 13 and it has been renewed for a sixth and final season.
