The trailer for the new film, The Rover, has appeared online.
The film from David Michod stars Robert Pattinson and Guy Pearce. In the crime drama, Pattinson plays Rey, a gang member left behind by his friends, according to MTV. The film takes place in the Australian outback.
The trailer for the movie shows the lead actor looking out over a vast landscape. The actor asks, “What does it feel like, the air?” The movie also stars Scoot McNairy. The film is from A24.
The Rover will have its premiere at Cannes. It is screening out of competition. It is David Michod’s follow up to Animal Kingdom.
"David Michod has created an extraordinary film," Roadshow Films Managing Director Joel Pearlman said in a statement on Thursday, according to SBS. "We congratulate him, the producers, cast and crew on this incredible achievement."
Michod will be joined in Cannes by Pearce and Pattinson. The Cannes Film Festival runs from May 14 to 25.
The Rover is due in theaters on June 20.
