Pharrell Williams sat down with Oprah Winfrey for a one-hour interview on OWN and the “Happy” singer got emotional while chatting with the former queen of daytime.

Williams teared up when Winfrey showed him a video of his fans from all over the world dancing to his Oscar nominated song “Happy.”

"I don't know why I'm crying!” he told her, People reports. “Why am I crying on 'Oprah?’”

“It makes me cry, too!” she said.

He explained it’s “overwhelming” for him because “I love what I do and I just appreciate the fact that people have believed in me for so long, that I can make it to this point to feel that,” MTV News reports.

Williams and Winfrey spoke about his successful past two years; winning four Grammys and having three massive hits on the charts with “Happy,” “Get Lucky” and “Blurred Lines.”

After years of being the man behind the hits, Williams said it’s been difficult getting used to being the center of attention.

"I was happy being the guy standing next to the guy,” he said.
