Ahead of the Toronto Raptor's opening playoff home game against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday, General Manager Masai Ujiri tried to pump up an already excited crowd a little more before the game with some choice profanity.
According to Canada.com, Ujiri was speaking to fans in front of the Air Canada Centre shortly before the game and finished off a short speech by yelling "F**k Brooklyn."
Fans cheered even louder, happy for someone from the team to express what might be their true feelings about a playoff opponent before the game.
However, the general manager was willing to apologize somewhat by halftime, reports The Associated Press. Ujiri explained he swore simply because he was "just trying to get our fans going."
The Ujiri has previously called out the Nets for allegedly tanking so they could play the Raptors in the first round, seeing them as an easier opponent and. He said, "You know how I feel. I don't like them, but I apologize."
