Scarlett Johansson is opening up about her moniker in the media – ScarJo – making it known how much she truly loathes it. In fact, she’s even insulted by it.
The Avengers star, 29, not only thinks it’s “tacky,” she also called it “violent.”
"I associate that name with, like, pop stars. It sounds tacky. It's lazy and flippant,” she told Glamour. "And there's something kind of violent about it. There’s something insulting about it."
Johansson, who’s currently expecting her first child with fiancé Romain Duriac, also shed some light into her divorce from ex-husband Ryan Reynolds. The former couple tied the knot in 2008 and divorced two years later.
"I feel I know now more of what I need in a relationship, what I want in a relationship. And I know I have more tools to communicate, not just with my partner, but with myself,” she explained, adding, “That's not necessarily any reflection of who I was married to or what was happening in my marriage, but really where I was in my life."
Us Weekly notes the biggest factor in their split was reportedly distance, but Reynolds has moved on with his life as well. The actor married 26-year-old Blake Lively in 2012.
