The fourth and definitely final season of AMC’s The Killing will be available exclusively on Netflix starting later this summer.

The Killing, which has been resurrected more times that The Walking Dead’s zombie population, will start its final season on Aug. 1, reports Entertainment Weekly. The season only includes six episodes and all will be available on the same day, as usual with Netflix shows.

Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman star in the crime drama as Seattle detectives. The show got off to a great start, but its season one finale was widely criticized for not revealing the murderer in the case they were investigating. Most of the audience lost interest and season two earned low ratings. AMC cancelled it for the first time at that point.

However, AMC reversed its decision and picked it up for a third season. Then, it was cancelled again and Fox TV began talks with Netflix about bringing it back for a fourth and final season. In November 2013, the two sides finally reached an agreement.

Netflix also has the previous seasons of The Killing available for anyone interested in starting the show from scratch. The show’s first season did earn a slew of Emmy nominations and Enos got a Golden Globe nomination in 2012.
