BBC America announced on Tuesday the premiere date of The Musketeers and that the show has been renewed for a second season already.
The 10-episode series, which was co-produced by both BBC America and BBC Worldwide, will premiere stateside on June 22, reports Variety.
The second season renewal isn't a surprise since the show has done decently well in the UK, where it was already given a renewal by BBC Worldwide, according to Deadline.
The Musketeers premiered in the UK to 9.3 million viewers, which gave it the largest debut for any BBC drama over the past couple of years. The ratings didn't continue to be that stellar, however, as the show finished its 10-episode run on Sunday to 3.9 million viewers.
The show, based around the popular Alexandre Dumas characters, is considered a more contemporary re-telling of their story, set in the 17th century.
The show stars The Borgias' Luke Pasqualino as D'Artagnan, while Tom Burke plays Athos, Santiago Cabrera plays Aramis and Howard Charles is Porthos. Other who star on the show include the new Doctor Peter Capaldi, Tamla Kari, Hugo Speer and Maimie McCoy.
