Ultimate Dining Hall Hacks is written by Priya Kirshna. This is her first cookbook, but it is not her first time writing about food. Her work experience includes an internship with The Food Network. She wrote original content for the Food Network’s Dish Blog as well as recipes for the website.
The cookbook covers a student from breakfast to dinner with snacks in between and dessert. Kirshna’s recipes are fairly easy to follow and execute. More importantly, the recipes are flexible and she suggests variations. This book is meant to improve your meals. It is not meant to keep its user restricted to the ingredients listed. The illustrations, like the cover, remind me of a scientific diagram. Considering the audience, the illustrations are appropriate and easy to follow. She doesn’t provide visuals for every recipe, but many cookbooks do not provide photographs for every recipe.
Ultimate Dining Hall Hacks will be available June 3, 2014. However, you can preorder it on Amazon today! You can preorder a paperback or the Kindle edition. Personally, I like hardcover and paperback books; however, the kindle edition may be ideal for college students. You can carry the book with you discreetly. You don’t need a Kindle for this eBook. You can install the app on your phone, laptop, or tablet. All you need is an Amazon account.
This simple cookbook is a great gift for current students, freshman, and new apartment owners with limited resources. They’ll be able to make delicious recipes without an oven, stove, or hot plate.
