Tom Ford reveals he married his partner of 27 years, journalist Richard Buckley

Tom Ford casually mentioned that he married his partner of 27 years, journalist Richard Buckley, in a recent interview with Kinvara Balfour at the Regent Street Apple store in London.

Ford showed off his wedding ring in the interview posted on Vogue UK. "Richard, yes, 27 years, and we're now married, which is nice," he said.

The famed designer, 52, said, "I know that it was just made legal in the U.K., which is great. We were married in The States."

Ford and Buckley, a former Vogue editor, have a 1-year-old son named Alexander John Buckley Ford. In 2012, Ford gushed about meeting Buckley at a fashion show in the ‘80s, saying the second they locked eyes “I absolutely saw and knew my entire future.”

He told Women’s Wear Daily at the time, “We had three dates. We were living together four weeks later; he gave me the keys to his apartment and we have lived together ever since.”
