Actor Tom Hardy will be playing twins, Ronnie and Reggie Kray, in his upcoming film Legend.
Legend, a film from LA Confidential writer Brian Helgeland, according to The Telegraph, will be about the relationship between the two notorious gangsters, the Kray twins. Ronnie and Reggie Kray were once described as the most dangerous men in Britain, ruling over the crime scene during the 1950s and 1960s.
A previous film about the twins was released in 1990, starring Martin and Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet, according to The Telegraph.
Now, Hardy will be taking on the roles of both Ronnie and Reggie on his own.
“I’m on that right now. I’ve got to work out how to play both twins, which will be fun. It’s another experiment and I’m really looking forward to it,” Hardy confirmed the news according to The Daily Mail.
Hardy, who is currently working on the British film, Locke, also shared how he will be approaching the two roles with ease.
“I’m not going to put too much pressure on myself, I just want to have some fun,” Hardy said about the roles. “The more of a challenge I give myself, the easier it is to take on more projects which are complicated in the future.”
