Another week, another great Grey’s Anatomy episode chock-full of top moments. “I’m Winning” had the surgeons dealing with the announcement of Cristina Yang’s Harper Avery nomination and all the stress and excitement that comes with it. All of a sudden, Cristina’s name pulls strings – she can get the FDA to change a policy, she can convince a research group to hand over their data, she can do just about anything. The downside of her nomination is how the rest of the staff reacts. They’re excited for her, sure, but they’re also crazy jealous and feeling very competitive, even when they’re Cristina’s best friend. We suspect the awards ceremony won’t take place until the season finale, leaving five more episodes for emotions to come to a boil inside Sloan Grey Memorial.
That also means there are five more episodes for everything to fall apart for the surgeons -- we just can't help but think that everyone is a little too happy right now.
We present to you our top 10 moments from “I’m Winning." Be sure to check out our Grey’s Anatomy coverage, including recaps and other top 10 lists, here!

10. April's Swimsuit
When does a surgeon do their laundry? Grey’s Anatomy tackled the tough question this week when it was revealed that most of the residents send their dirty clothes out to be laundered. April, homegrown farm girl that she is, refuses to send hers out and is instead reduced to wearing a swimsuit under her scrubs when she runs out of clean underwear. And of course her swimsuit is a conservative one-piece!

9. Swap Monkey
The swap monkey introduced in last week’s episode is brought back in full force, much to the disappointment of Shane Ross. The best part about the swap monkey is how Stephanie regrets every time she swaps one of her surgeries for Shane’s.

8. Callie & McDreamy's new toy
Whenever the surgeons get a fancy piece of equipment, they act like little kids on Christmas morning. Callie and Derek receive a brain scanner that can tell when a person has an emotional reaction, and have a blast trying it out on each other. The best came when they put it on Jo, who had a negative reaction to every single positive stimulus they put in front of her. Kittens? Hate them. Beach vacations? No thanks.

7. Mini doctor-in- training
Last week’s heart-problem family is back, this time with the sick son in the hospital. One of Grey’s repeating themes is having a child act like a surgeon, going on rounds and reciting patient history. This week, the mini doctor is the sick son’s sister, who recently got a pacemaker put in. Of course, the show can’t follow up with these kids to see if they’ll actually grow up to be surgeons, but it’s a cool thing to think about.

6. Kidney Donor
The crazy patient of the week came in the form of a HIV-positive kidney donor, about to give an organ to his HIV-positive friend. When confronted with the slight risk of death during the operation, the donor backs out. Two minutes later, he’s back in. The problem? Meredith covered for him and told his friend that the two weren’t a match. It’s funny (and frustrating) to see her have to backtrack and pretend she read the labs wrong.

5. Harper Avery
Cristina is nominated for a Harper Avery award! She’s up against four other surgeons, and we may be a little biased, but we think she’s got this one in the bag. It’s a great moment of recognition for a brilliant surgeon

4. Cristina's reaction to the Harper Avery
In true Cristina fashion, she doesn’t jump up and down and cheer when she gets the call. Instead, she’s got sarcastic comebacks and plenty of sass for everyone that makes a big deal about the nomination. In truth, she’s playing it cool to help guard her heart against the rejection that will come if she doesn’t lose.

3. The Boy Escapes the Bubble
Who didn’t cheer when the poor kid without an immune system finally got out of that bubble, if only for a few minutes? He may have just given himself a crazy infection, but his excitement and happiness to be out of that bubble, if only for a minute, was palpable. Here’s to hoping he makes it out of the bubble for good.

2. New Baby for Callie and Arizona
Callie and Arizona have baby fever! It’s always exciting when one of the surgeons gets pregnant or has a child, and it’s great to see the troubled couple leaving the hard times in the past, moving forward towards a shiny new baby. We can’t wait to see their process having a sibling for little Sophia.

1. Bailey's breakthrough
The return of Dr. Bailey! Bailey was in a hard slump as seemingly everyone around her embarks on groundbreaking research, but her genius moment came this week when she gets an idea on how to get the boy out of his bubble. We all know how brilliant Bailey is, and how instrumental she’s been in shaping Meredith, Alex, and Cristina’s careers, and it’s nice to see her coming into her own Harper Avery territory.
