Fox lost to CBS on Wednesday night as both Criminal Minds and Survivor beat out singing competition American Idol.
With a 2.2 in the 18-49 demographic and 9.86 million viewers, CBS topped the major networks in primetime, reports Hitfix. Survivor was down slightly to a 2.2 in the demo, while Criminal Minds improved to a 2.5 rating. CSI ticked downward for the night with a 1.9 in the demo.
Fox averaged a close 2.1 in the demo, but a much weaker 8.77 million viewers. Idol remained even with last week with a 2.1 in the advertiser-important demo.
In third for the night was ABC, which averaged a 1.9 in the 18-49 demo and 5.98 million viewers. According to The Hollywood Reporter, The Middle was steady from last week with a 1.9 in the demo, while Suburgatory ticked upward to a 1.6 in the key demo. Modern Family fell to a 3.2 in the demo, but Mixology managed to remain consistent with a 1.6 rating. Nashville improved to a 1.5 rating.
NBC saw mild growth from all its shows for the night, with the network averaging a 1.5 rating and 5.3 million viewers. Revolution was up to a 1.3 in the demo, while Law & Order: SVU took in a 1.7 rating. Chicago P.D. closed the night up to a 1.6 in the demo.
Arrow slid from last week to a 0.8 in the demo, while The 100 was down to a 0.6 demo rating. The CW averaged a 0.7 in the demo and 2.1 million viewers.
